Read more about the awardMy favorite academic accomplishment since I enrolled as a Ph.D. student in Science Education has been working in a research team with one of my faculty—Dr. Valarie Akerson—on the Nature of Science and getting to know science from another lens. Also, by participating in the Saturday Science Program, I not only enhance my passion for science education but also explore ways to make Science more fun.
I chose IU Bloomington for its renowned faculty. I was excited to meet and work with some of the scholars whom I’ve admired. Being at such a large institution, unlike my previous schools, afforded me access to greater resources and networking that serves as an excellent source for my research and goals.
The O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs has one of the most well regarded academic programs at the graduate level and renowned faculty working between Bloomington and Indianapolis.
